Founded in 2008, Customised Farm Management (CFM) is an Australian owned and operated rural asset management company with offices in Moree, Griffith, Gunnedah and Sydney NSW.


Our team of professionals are all locally based and have a comprehensive understanding of the challenges facing investors who hold (or are intending to acquire) agricultural assets across Australia.

Our company provides extensive experience in both Portfolio and Farm Management Services and a proven track record for providing both cash and capital returns within the Top 10% for comparable assets, CFM currently manages a variety of irrigated, rain fed and horticultural properties throughout Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory.


Enterprises under management encompass fresh fruit and vegetables, edible nuts, cereals, natural fibre, beef, lamb and wool production.


CFM manages the green field development and operation of large scale permanent horticultural enterprises including citrus, almonds, pistachios, and kiwifruit.



Livestock operations remain a major contributor to CFM investor’s profitability and diversity. Grazing operations are conducted over a number of holdings with an approximate grazing area of 85,000 hectares.

Agronomy

We have an experienced team of agronomists that specialise in horticulture, irrigated and dryland broadacre and row cropping enterprises.

Accounting

Our accounting team provides bookkeeping, invoice and accounts management as well as financial oversight and cash flow management of day to day operations.

Andrew Parkes

Chief Executive Officer

Andrew directs all operations, and sources potential acquisitions in conjunction with CFM asset managers. Andrew has been involved in agriculture for over 35 years, is recognised in Australian agriculture as an industry leader and has been the recipient of numerous awards in acknowledgement of his abilities.


Andrew’s leadership provides outstanding managerial and interpersonal skills, motivating all members of staff to produce exceptional results.

Andrew Ordish

Chief Operations Officer

Andrew has also been involved in agriculture for over 35 years and his long association with corporate agriculture has allowed him to develop a core understanding of corporate governance issues and requirements.


He also oversights most of the development and asset management of the northern NSW and southern QLD CFM managed assets, including all Kiwi Fruit operations.

Richard Malone

Southern Area Manager - Permanent Cropping

Richard’s experiences span over 10 years of broadacre and horticultural expertise as an independent agronomist. His agronomic career expands to the intensive and productive regions of the Darling Downs, North Queensland and the Riverina.


Richard manages the Griffith office and the portfolio of CFM managed properties in Southern NSW, encompassing all horticulture, broadacre livestock and mixed farming systems. Richard has managed all of the permanent crop developments from budgeting, planning, implementation and operations in Southern NSW, which include commodities such as almonds, pistachio’s and citrus. trials, results, and reporting.

Charles Morgan

Southern Area Manager Broadacre

Originally from Central Victoria, Charles has spent his career in southern NSW since graduating from a Bachelor of Agricultural Science at La Trobe University in 2013. During his agronomy career Charles specialises in all aspects of broadacre cereal and pulse crop production, as well as irrigated crops such as corn and cotton.


He also provides oversight across a range of regions including the Northern Territory, NSW and Victoria. Charles is also directly responsible for oversighting agronomic management on all southern properties as well as managing all ‘productivity and efficiency gain’

Emily Cook

Finance & Compliance Director

Emily is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, and cashflow of each entity and ensures the appropriate treasury controls are implemented and functioning. She is also responsible for managing relationships with funding sources, external accountants, and financial auditors to ensure the entities are compliant with all accounting standards and practices.


Emily is from a farming background and is also a chartered accountant with the understanding of being able to link the rigours of audited accounting requirements with the vagaries of agriculture.

Maddi Smith

Chief Financial Officer

Maddi is responsible for overseeing all financial and management reporting, budgeting, and cashflows across our farming entities. Maddi also manages relationships with external accountants and auditors, funding providers, and clients to ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and practices. A key focus of her role is delivering clear, accurate, and timely financial reporting to support the effective operation of each farm business.



Originally from the Gold Coast, Maddi holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics from the University of Queensland. While not from a traditional farming background, Maddi brings a clear understanding of financial governance and a strong appreciation for the unique financial challenges faced in the agricultural sector.

Samuel Parkes

Investment Manager

Born in Moree, rural NSW, Sam has been around agriculture since the early years. After concluding a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Queensland Sam worked as an analyst for Blue Sky Alternative Investments and was involved in their >$1b AUD Water Fund (now managed under Argyle Capital). Post this, Sam worked in other extensions from Blue Sky including Riparian Capital Partners.


Following a stint in the city, Sam moved back home to Moree where he developed his role in CFM as an analyst involved with the development and construction of internal systems relating to operational and financial budgets, farm data capture, annual financial reporting and acquisition modelling.


Now, as Investment Manager Sam continues to oversee, construct and develop strategic investment opportunities for both existing and prospective clients across wide range of investor appetites, target assets and agricultural investment pursuits.

Ashlee Laksa

Safety & Training Coordinator

Originally form the Central Coast, Ashlee has been working in the Agricultural industry since the age of 18. Ashlee is the Safety and Training Coordinator at Customised Farm Management, where she oversees workplace safety programs, compliance initiatives, and employee training across various agricultural operations.

 

With over 5 years of experience in work health and safety and workforce development, Ashlee specialises in fostering a proactive safety culture, implementing effective training programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.


She holds certifications in Work Health and Safety, First Aid/CPR, Risk Management and regularly leads training sessions designed to minimise workplace incidents and boost operational efficiency. Ashlee is dedicated to providing teams with the knowledge and tools they need to work safely and confidently in dynamic agricultural environments.
